Description

The De Bethune DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon is a limited edition of 20 pieces. This model combines the elegance of the DB28XP with the captivating design of the DB28 Kind of Blue Tourbillon. Denis Flageollet, driven by the challenge of creating an ultra-thin watch, crafted the DB28XP to balance technical precision and aesthetic beauty.

The dial of the DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon is made from blued titanium. Its deep blue color, resulting from natural oxidation, makes each piece unique. The dial’s Microlight construction reinterprets traditional guilloché techniques, creating a contemporary effect through the interplay of shadow and light.

The De Bethune tourbillon stands out for its lightweight cage (0.18 grams) and rapid rotation, with 63 components, the lightest weighing less than 0.0001 grams. Designed to withstand the kinetic challenges of wrist movements, the tourbillon’s higher frequency and faster rotation enhance its precision. Made from titanium and silicon, it operates at 36,000 vibrations per hour. The tourbillon bridge’s futuristic shape ensures stability, fulfilling its role in modern wristwatches more effectively.
